Hello everybody! For the last 5 days, I was on holiday in London, seeing some old friends. While I was there, the weather was considerably hotter than Scotland and I got a taste of owning a dog! Aside from that, I spent 2 busy days roaming around London, seeing the sights and the markets the city has to offer.
Please allow me to present - My London in Pictures
Covent Garden Market
Artisan stalls at CGM
I visited Lorraine Pascale's Cupcake Bakehouse at Covent Garden. Above is her Vanilla Cupcake. Sweet, buttery and very moist, if you are visiting London, you should definitely pop in!
This cheese is bigger than the ones I have seen in France!
Vegan! Chickpea and sweet potato burger with carrot salad and broccoli barley salad with onion jam. This was insanely good!
These cookies were bigger than my head!
Tired feet from walking so much in flat soled shoes
Well, that's a tiny snippet of London. I enjoyed it so much and when I was there, I realised a few things
- A huge amount of artisan food producers
- A lot of vegan/raw restaurants
- More cyclists and runners
- The underground get extremely warm at 29ºc at rush hour
On Thursday, I am off again: camping in a remote Scottish island - the complete opposite of London.
I ♥ camping!
How is your summer? On holiday anywhere?
